CENTRAL OPERATIONAL UNIT (COU)

The banking services in banks in general are the main forefront of the clients with the bank and a key means to attract new clients and retain the present clients. It the gate to deal in the bank different activities. In addition, the Islamic bank provides all banking services provided by traditional banks, except the banking services that contradict with the Islamic Law, which apply interest rates on such services.

A remarkable transformation was recently observed in the banks works of all traditional types, and the specialized banks such as the agricultural banks, industrial banks, and real estate banks. These transformations could be summarized in centralizing their local and foreign operations. In other word, transforming from decentralized to centralized  operations under an organizational unit called the Central Operational Unit (COU) due to the various benefits to the bank administratively, organizationally, and different work procedures which positively reflects to the performance of these banks and minimize the risks of the decentralization in the local and international banks. There might be many drives behind the attempt of these banks to transform to the centralization in their works.
